GABRIEL GLEN IES LITERARY COMPETITION 2011 VIRGINIA WOOLF
The Department of Language and Literature at IES La Canada announces the creation Literary Contest, which is open to all Students enrolled in the school they wish, according to the following RULES:
1 .- It may decide the modalities of prose and poetry, so inclusive as it can send as many originals as you like.
POETRY: Poem of the traditional type (romance, sonnet ...) or free verse, whose length does not exceed fifty verses.
PROSE: to be accepted, any writing either story, short story, fable, essay, letter ... one to five pages maximum, written on one side and double spaced.
2 .- In each of the modalities, distinguished three categories: Category A for high school students; CATEGORY B for students aged 3 and 4 of ESO-provided they are under 16 years; CATEGORY C for students of 1 º and 2 º ESO-provided they are under 14.
3 .- The originals are submitted in duplicate, by hand or printed double-spaced, in Arial-12, in the Centre's Secretariat , indicating on the envelope only by the types and categories will be stated. It will use the system of "theme" or "escrow" with the text, delivered a separate sealed envelope with the participant's data (name, grade, group, address and phone). The envelope carried out only the title (or first line or sentence) or prefer a pseudonym to be noted also in the work presented. This system guarantees the anonymity of the participant, as the "escrow" only opens when you have already selected the winning entries. Work will be rejected that do not meet these requirements.
4 .- The deadline for the filing of briefs will be 04.05.2011.
5 .- The jury will consist of members of the Department of Language and Literature and its decision is final.
6 .- For each of the types and categories will be a first prize of 30 euros in a bond exchangeable for school supplies or books, and a second prize of As always do not know how.
7 .- The winning entries will be read on April 14, 2011 by their respective authors at the Multipurpose Hall, and posted on the Website, the blog of Anne Infante In Sometimes ... books and magazine The Bengal.
