CARNIVAL THIS IS ... SHARE

Although
and sure many know, I would like to highlight some interesting proposals have emerged on the initiative of teachers (not teachers) who work collaboratively.

The most recent is the launch together Walk classroom, Blogger @ ndo , Language Review and Three Chalk and bearing the suggestive name of literary Street . go This is our towns and cities, find streets that bear the name of an author and developing a literary street tool Google maps. The proposal has also been extended to the location of different buildings (libraries, schools, colleges, cultural centers ...) baptized with the name a writer as well as that of landmarks: streets, houses, buildings that have any interest in being linked to the life or work of a literary author. The bases of the project are here.

short Fantasy blog is a newborn who responds to the illusion and the work of "Fantastic Four" bloggers: adan, on whose blog teacher in high school I met initiative, Lola, author of Bohème; BLQ Eloi, who writes in Discovering worlds and In Montanya , and the young Miquel. That short is a great tool that can help us to develop many different skills and abilities in the classroom is something that many have already proved safe. We will follow closely.

The last initiative I want to emphasize has for some time on the network. This is a wonderful proposal has aimed at developing a collective book of poems is named after "Poetry, it's you." Some of the blogs by Silvia Gonzalez Goñi, literary licks, and José Hernández, author of Language Notes. The recitation of poems is a great and rewarding exercise that is enriched with this proposal as a video editing work and student participation.

Thank you all for sharing with the rest of the world their proposals, ideas, talents and enthusiasm. Lychees would say, with initiatives and the world I seems more friendly, more human, less funny ...

First Love (Ivan Turgenev)

Bridging the gap of time (summer 1833) and space (Moscow), I'm sure everyone in one way or another, find ourselves some This 16 year old boy named Vladimir Voldemar, the protagonist of First Love, Russian Ivan Turgenev . Report the experience of having met for the first time with the love of the front is something that everyone, sooner or later can do. Do with the delicacy of Turgenev, delving further other issues outside of the crushes of adolescence, is another matter. Vladimir
that summer feeling that something awaits. And not just because I'm preparing for university entrance. You feel something "feminine" as he says, is waiting: is fond of walks in loneliness, takes refuge in an inexplicable melancholy, which is delivered from a lonely roof, will thrill the poetry and nature ... That "something" is soon incarnate in the person of his neighbor, a girl of 21 years (all woman compared to 16 the boy). Zinaida, so called, is daughter of a spoiled princess. It is very beautiful and has a wide and diverse of admirers of the young Vladimir joins. Zinaida exerts a powerful attraction for the boy, who baffled with her mood swings. It reminds us a bit, since its beauty and its lack of maturity, to that breed of women such as the Emmas Bovarys or Annas Karenina, owning a captivating power of seduction, but also a constant dissatisfaction. Zinaida shows sometimes very affectionate to the boy; most of the time it totally ignores and, on other occasions, he weeps and displayed guilty before him as if he had offended deeply. Feel Vladimir no other man, that Zinaida is in love but who is he? Will the young count? Maidinov The Poet? Does the doctor Luchinne? What the boy feel when he discovers that the mysterious lover is ... (Sorry, I have a duck in the oven. You can follow the adventures of the young Vlad if you click here ).

(Students of world literature: I guess you guys are about to unveil the mystery. Right?)

Reindeer For Sleigh Cake Stand

AYER TE I kissed her lips ...

"In a kiss you know what I have silent "
Pablo Neruda

Yesterday I kissed on the lips ...

Yesterday I kissed her lips.
I kissed on the lips. Dense
cells. The kiss was so short,
that lasted more than a flash,
a miracle, more. time
give it after
not wanted for anything and,
for anything
had loved before.
is started, it ended.

Today I'm kissing a kiss
'm alone with my lips.
I put
not in your mouth, no, no ...
- Where has escaped me? -.
I put
the kiss I gave you
yesterday in the mouths together
the kiss they kissed.
And this kiss lasts more
than silence, than light.
Because it's not a meat
or a mouth to kiss,
escaping, escapes me.
No.
I'm kissing you further.

Besos

There kisses alone
pronounced the sentence of guilty love, kisses
is given to the look
Some kisses are given to memory.

There silent kisses, no kisses kisses
enigmatic noble, sincere
Some kisses are given only
souls are forbidden kisses, true.

There are kisses that burn and hurt, no kisses snatched
senses
Some kisses mysterious
thousand dreams have left wandering and lost.

Some kisses problematic
contain a key that no one has deciphered
Some kisses
engender tragedy have many roses in bare pin.

There perfumed kisses, kisses warm
throbbing in intimate desires,
Some kisses on the lips
leave tracks like a field of sun between two ice cubes.

There are kisses
lilies that seem to sublime, naive and pure, there are kisses
treacherous and cowardly,
is cursed and perjured kisses.

Judas kisses Jesus and let
printed on his face of God, the crime, while Magdalena
with kisses
strengthens pious agony.

Since then kissing beats
love, betrayal and pain,
in human weddings seem
the breeze playing with flowers.

There are kisses producing
ravings of mad love and burning passion,
you know them well are my kisses
invented by me, for your mouth.

Kisses trace calls that are printed
the grooves of a forbidden love, kisses
storm, wild kisses
only our lips have tasted.

Do you remember the first ...? Indefinable
covered your face blushes
lurid and terrible spasms of emotion,
were full of tears your eyes.

Do you remember that one afternoon I saw
crazy jealous over imagining grievances
flunked you in my arms ... vibrated a kiss,
and then ... did you see? Blood on my lips.

I teach you to kiss: kisses are cold impassive
heart of stone,
I taught you to kiss with my kisses
invented by me, for your mouth.

Rima XXII

For a look, a world with a smile
, sky,
for a kiss ...
I do not know what gave you a kiss.

kisses

not forget, early, kisses a day. Of the kisses
winged your mouth arrived.
A moment
put their feathers on the drawing that is rendered pure ajar.

I brushed his teeth. You felt his bag, in your mouth
beating his blue plumage.
Ah, round your lips throbbed with joy.
Who does not kiss the birds when they arrive, they escape?

your mouth ajar I saw your white teeth.
Ah, thin peaks between lips sink.
Ah, heavenly stung while sweet
your body felt light, very light, stood.

How funny, how fine, how slender Queens! Light
or birds arrive, kisses pure plumes.
and darken your face with hot wings,
you rub, stir, while blind you shine.

Do not forget. Happy, look, will now escape.
Look, flying, amount, blue adopt them. Rise
high, brown. Van Hot, burning.
moan, sing, splendid. Rave in the sky.

Kiss

Which one were inside!

When I looked at your lips
tunnel red blood, dark and sad
,
sank to the bottom of your soul.

When into my kiss,
its heat and light tremors and shocks gave

your flesh surprised.

Since then the roads that lead to your soul
not want to be deserted.

many arrows, fish, birds,
many caresses and kisses!

CARMEN V

Live and love, oh my Lesbia,

and give them less value than an ace

the voices of the old severe.

The stars can die and come back;
dead
our brief light, we

sleep one night last sentence.

Give me a thousand kisses, followed by a hundred;

a thousand, then a second hundred,
followed
then another thousand, then a hundred.

then already made many thousands,

revolvámoslos, not knowing

neither we nor the villain who looks

stalker, how many kisses we knew.

Lightning just
Besas as if you were to eat. You kiss kisses
sea, with his teeth.
Hands on my temples and chasms
our eyes. I, without a fight, unarmed,
declare myself up, if
beat me is to see you my hands handcuffed. You kiss kisses
God. A baby puffs
my life. Sip. Without hurting,
strips my root, my death
climb on his lips. And then mimadora,
the breezes and chases with your kiss.

Oh God, oh God, oh God, if
enough to see a kiss, a kiss
not cry then, because, oh, why!, not just that.

Lost Immunization Card Canada

The Lost World (Astiberri) is a book of Arthur Conan Doyle that love is about a journalist who embarks on a fearful journey along with an athlete and two zoologists heading into the unknown, to test the evidence a scientist disreputable London. Will face great dangers as dinosaurs, monkeys, avalanches and murderers, reaching back to the Zoological Institute and demonstrate the evidence of the existence of dinosaurs.

I liked it, and also has some illustrations of Sagar Fornies pretty, perfect for entertaining a while and enjoy a good read. I would put a 8.5.

Quique, 1 º ESO student

Taking advantage of this brief but juicy review that has written one of the "squat" I have at home the last book you read, do not want to leave without saying a few things:

"That Arthur Conan Doyle is the father of well-known Sherlock Holmes , a pioneer in this research detective, and one day we will devote a few words.

That the English writer Julian Barnes wrote an interesting and delicious novel whose co-star to Conan Doyle himself, and called Arthur & George . In this novel based on real events, Barnes parallel trace the passage of two lives, that of Arthur (Conan Doyle ) a young family that has been well lost their social status because of father's alcoholism and that, however, will, among other things, a young, bright and promising lawyer, and George, the son of a pastor of Indian origin a village, educated in the idea of \u200b\u200bthe effort and the austerity of British phlegm, dedicated to the study of law, but does not have the fame or the glitter of Arthur: his consecration the study, withdrawn character and no taste for social life do not help to be exactly a popular guy. Their lives, so different, they will cross. George is accused of a series of vandalism that have occurred in their town, and Arthur, a series of fortuitous circumstances, has news of his case and will help him. It is curious to see Conan Doyle in a tasks in which very well imagine her child Sherlock. The novel takes us immediately to the early twentieth century England, modern and conservative at the same time, and reminds us of the famous Dreyfus case more or less coincident in time. Come I'm going to immediately seek another novel by Barnes with one hand and the other to ask my child to let me The Lost World, this weekend finally seems it rains.

THE LOST WORLD HISTORY OF KING TRANSPARENT (TRIP TO THE MIDDLE AGES II)

La Belle Dame sans Merci, of JW Waterhouse

In Clear History King, Rosa Montero speaks of Leola, a farmer of 15 years is suddenly how their world is turned upside down: her father, her brother and her lover, Jacques are forced to fight in one of the many wars for his feudal master, the lord of Abuny. Leola wears the arms of one of the hundreds of corpses that sow the fields, and from here, life is not what you would expect for an illiterate peasant of France's s. XII: assume identities of Man (The Blue Rider, The Merchant of Blood or Lord of Zarco) or women at your convenience; learn to fight and take part in jousts and tournaments, learn to read and even undertake the business of making a record of words known to the unique Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine and also enjoy in his court of this world fine imposed by the fashion of "courtly love." As a travel companion will have to Nyneve, a woman claiming to be witches and have hundreds of years, and claims to have experienced both Merlin. Leola

also know the love (the bitter, Gaston, and sweet, with Leon) will travel through France, make friends (Guy, Mrs. Lumière, Violante and other ladies Cathar) and terrible enemies (Dhuoda, friend like White Lady, cruel enemy as Black Lady, Fray Angelico.) Background, the Crusades and the bitter struggle against the Cathars, whom Leola sympathetic and whose cities are refugees because they are the only ones that can live thanks to the tolerance of its inhabitants, the discovery of books, the fascination libraries and, of course, History of King transparent, highlights the magical element of the novel, the story impossible to know because that has struck down by an accident and that, when we are about to meet ...

Another novella, very light and suitable for 1 º ESO (and the 3 rd year of primary school, even), is Fernando the Fearless , of, José Luis Velasco (Bamboo), which has a start like: Fernando, an 8 year old boy, decides to trace her father, taken by force to fight the Muslims in Castilla del s. XII. As in Rosa Montero's novel, the real characters mingle with the imaginary. In this case, the battle in the middle of which is poor is Alarcos Fernando. His father dies between him and an arrow and, in turn, Fernando star in an action that saves the king's life. As a reward, a gentleman will make your server and take you to court. The plot revolves around a conspiracy against King Alfonso VIII (Plantagener married Eleanor, daughter of Eleanor of Aquitaine precisely, the queen of the troubadours) who happened to find Fernando. It is very entertaining and serves to whet your appetite to the smaller of medieval literature will be found later. Looking

looking at my neighborhood library found a gem that I recommended my colleague at the institute neighbor, Sea, to read in literature class universal (4 º, 2 º Bachillerato and even, I could read in 2 º and 3 º ESO): The knight of the cart , or Lancelot of Chretien de Troyes , considered a pioneer of the modern novel. All the stories about the figure of King Arthur are, for me, a fascinating element difficult to explain. In this case, and the style of courtly love, a gentleman, none other than Lancelot, and Lancelot, but we will not know his name until later-faces every obstacle imaginable even yield to the humiliation of being paraded on a cart, as was done with the villains and murderers, so to reach his lady (the very wife of King Arthur, Queen Guinevere!) who is imprisoned in the realm of evil Meleagant. The whole essence of the chivalric romances that take root in the fertile imagination of Don Quixote are here: adventure, love, the chivalric code, sensuality, sense of honor and justice y. .. treason. I l to have read in an edition of Luis Carandell for editorial Lumen, but there is another highly recommended in Alliance by Luis Alberto de Cuenca, and Carlos García Gual.

Ivanhoe , the classic Walter Scott, does not disappoint those hoping to dive into the essence of medieval castles, dungeons, witches, clowns, tournaments, crusaders, druids, beautiful women, men, bold, selfish, pilgrims, intrigue, betrayal ... And characters who are part of our childhood memories and adventurous as John Lackland, Richard Coeur de Lion (the children of this fascinating queen, Eleanor of Aquitaine, already quoted above) Lady Rowena, the Jewish Rebecca or Robin Hood himself. ( Youth Anaya offers a version fitted with a comprehensive guide of activities for secondary students).

Finally, a good suggestion for those "reading night" to encourage our students outside of scheduled: the well-known The Pillars of the Earth of Ken Follet . I read it one summer many years ago and I remember that I found very entertaining (although the plot is a bit convoluted, the number of relationships established between past and present, and the infinity of characters that populate its thousand-odd pages). The argument I remember some things (many more than you tend to remember when faced with one of these novels called "best-sellers", which are read and forget as quickly), the love of Tom, the mason, for their work, the outrage produced by the actions of the powerful as William or the bishop, the struggles for power (which the ancient modern), the joy produced by the triumph of love (poetic justice, above all) and the fascination exercise - about me, much-construction medieval.

Pending I have, the great American novelist and Nobel laureate John Steinbeck Literature, The Acts of King Arthur and his noble knights , so to another trip, walkers ...
