Taking advantage of this brief but juicy review that has written one of the "squat" I have at home the last book you read, do not want to leave without saying a few things:

"That Arthur Conan Doyle is the father of well-known Sherlock Holmes , a pioneer in this research detective, and one day we will devote a few words.

That the English writer Julian Barnes wrote an interesting and delicious novel whose co-star to Conan Doyle himself, and called Arthur & George . In this novel based on real events, Barnes parallel trace the passage of two lives, that of Arthur (Conan Doyle ) a young family that has been well lost their social status because of father's alcoholism and that, however, will, among other things, a young, bright and promising lawyer, and George, the son of a pastor of Indian origin a village, educated in the idea of \u200b\u200bthe effort and the austerity of British phlegm, dedicated to the study of law, but does not have the fame or the glitter of Arthur: his consecration the study, withdrawn character and no taste for social life do not help to be exactly a popular guy. Their lives, so different, they will cross. George is accused of a series of vandalism that have occurred in their town, and Arthur, a series of fortuitous circumstances, has news of his case and will help him. It is curious to see Conan Doyle in a tasks in which very well imagine her child Sherlock. The novel takes us immediately to the early twentieth century England, modern and conservative at the same time, and reminds us of the famous Dreyfus case more or less coincident in time. Come I'm going to immediately seek another novel by Barnes with one hand and the other to ask my child to let me The Lost World, this weekend finally seems it rains.
