F.lux is a tool that based on latitude and longitude of the area where we are regulating the colors and brightness of your screen, for protecting our precious sight when we spend hours in front of the monitor.
To install Gnome distros (debian, ubuntu, etc..)
1 - Download F.lux from the terminal: wget
2 - Extract the following command: tar-xvzf xflux.tgz
http://secure.herf.org/flux/xflux.tgz
3 - log in as root:
its4 - Copy the file to / usr / bin /:and insert our password, and we see it changing the $ sign by #, indicating that we are ROOT.
5 - add permissions:xflux cp / usr / local / bin
and voila, installed.chmod 755 / usr / local / bin / xflux
